Before you settle into your new home, our team will walk you through every detail with a homeowner’s manual that covers your new home’s features, appliances, and maintenance tips. This is your opportunity to get acquainted with your home and ask any questions you might have.

On the day you take possession, we will welcome you home. We will hand over your keys, show you how the access systems work, and ensure you’re comfortable with everything. 

Every Steelix home is protected by the
1-2-5-10 Warranty, ensuring peace of mind for years to come. This includes 2 years of coverage on labour and materials, 5 years on the building envelope, and 10 years on the structure of your home.

Who should I contact if I have a question or concern about common property?

Your Strata Corporation handles the maintenance of shared spaces like hallways, elevators, parking, storage, strata fees, extra keys or fobs, and garbage collection. This is all facilitated through your Property Manager. You can find their contact information in your Homeowner Manual or in the minutes from your most recent Strata Council meeting.

What maintenance am I responsible for as a homeowner?

As a homeowner, you are responsible for the regular and seasonal upkeep of your home, as outlined in your Homeowner Manual. This includes tasks like sealing grout and replacing silicone as needed. Please note that any damage caused by wear and tear or accidents is not covered under the warranty and should be repaired by you.

What does my New Home Warranty cover?

1 Year: Covers any defects in material or labour during the first year of occupancy. You'll receive a reminder to submit any issues before the year is up, so please review any cosmetic matters at that time.

2 Years: Covers mechanical systems, including electrical, heating, and plumbing.

5 Years: Covers the building envelope, protecting against water penetration and other issues.

10 Years: Covers the structural integrity of your home.

Who do I contact for questions or issues with an appliance?

Appliance warranties are provided through the supplier. You can contact them directly to arrange for a technician to review the issue or to learn more about the warranty. The supplier's contact information specific to your project can be found in your Homeowner Manual.
