We know that for most people, their home is both their largest asset and the place where they spend the most time, so we wanted to make sure that it’s a place you’ll love. That’s why we put our heads together and came up with a wishlist of all the things we love about our own homes, and used that to guide our interior design team, BYU design.
The result is a collection of modern and welcoming homes that we’re absolutely thrilled to offer. We’ve paid attention to all the little details that make a home feel like home, from maximizing storage and utility to building in convenient features wherever possible.
But nowhere is this more apparent than in the kitchens. After all, when we’re awake, most of us spend the majority of our time in the kitchen – cooking, eating, and socializing. That’s why we’ve put extra care and attention into designing the kitchens at Harlo.
We’ve limited the number of kitchen layouts available, so that we can give homeowners a clear idea of exactly what their kitchen will look like. There are two main options to choose from: one with a peninsula, and one with an island.
The island option is particularly exciting, because it’s been designed as a multipurpose, premium space. It can accommodate up to 4 bar stools, making it perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Plus, there’s plenty of room for meal prep and even a homework or video call station.
All of our kitchens feature an under-mount sink and matte black fixture with a pull-down spray, as well as a large single basin sink that can handle full-size pots and pans with ease. Plus, the Samsung dishwasher and built-in Panasonic microwave are within easy reach, while still leaving plenty of storage space directly below.
We’ve also added thoughtful touches like a built-in towel rack and power outlet with USB charging, so that you can keep your devices charged and ready to go. And of course, all of our kitchens come with a stainless steel appliance package, anchored by a 5-burner gas range and French door fridge, both by Samsung.
But it’s not just about function – we’ve also put a lot of thought into the form of our kitchens. For example, the Faber slide-out hood fan above the range blends seamlessly into the surrounding cabinets when not in use, so it doesn’t detract from the overall look and feel of the kitchen.
We’ve also added bookshelves to the kitchen so that you can show off your personal style or store your most-used items within easy reach. All of the cabinets and drawers are soft-close and have hidden pulls, so that the front surfaces stay smooth and there’s nothing to snag your clothes on.
And of course, no kitchen is complete without a pantry cabinet, and we’ve designed different options to fit the needs of each floor plan.
